Season's Greetings Folks!
I am currently using EMC with Linux 2.2.18 and RTLinux 3.0 in a servo
control application (stg). Except for not yet having analog spindle control,
or an easy way to configure general IO points (like carriage up/dn
solenoids, turret position switches, near home/slow down switches, etc),
things are working well and seem to be stable and accurate. Is there any
reason why I should be using a different linux kernel and RTAI? I'm not
sure how I would install RTAI if I had to. What I have been doing to date
is updating cvs from sourceforge and running the 'compile' program found in
my ../usr/local/ directory.
Kurtis
