Thanks for the help, I got Ray's tarball running by copying the
tar file to /usr/local/ and untarring it from there. I ran the install
and overwrote all of the old stuff (original BDI) and everything
ran like a top. The only problem that I see right now is the axis
displays are smaller than they were before.
I did 3 or 4 clean/installs on the directory /usr/local/emc08-01/
and that was where I ran into the problems. Maybe it didn't like
the "-" in the directory name, who knows.

About tim's problem with the G92 or right clicking on the display
and entering a value, Mine did the same until I clicked the World
button on the right side of the display. Axis names changed from
0, 1, 2 to X, Y, Z and the display went to zero. This was while
running steppermod and in AUTO. Axis display size was still
small though.
Thanks to all of the guys doing the work on the EMC project
I ran a program and it ran great. I'll let you know if I run into
any problems.
