Hi Edgar,
I'll try to stumble thru this; I run rt_ but assume that under the BDI rtai
will be very much the same.
Assuming that the you've been thru the BDI install then you should be able
to run simulation.

On the desktop (kde) click on the emc_sim icon. Wait until tkemc come up.
Type F1 then F2 to get you out of E-stop and on.
Use the mouse to select each axis (click over the axis numbers) the click on
home to home each axis.
Numbers should move a bit then turn from yellow to green and go back to
zero.
Under view bring up backplot.
Now machine away to your hearts content. :-)
