Pondering over your questions and reviewing earlier posts, I see you did an
upgrade using the EMC-2.18 rpm package - Some changes were made to the source
code since BDI-2.10 was released. The most notable being the
PARPORT_IO_ADDRESS has been changed to IO_BASE_ADDRESS. Check to see which is
used in the [EMCMOT] and [EMCIO] sections.
MOTION_IO_ADDRESS is/was intended for IO control that is synchronized with
motion. i.e. For turning a laser on or off at the exact moment a move
commences or finishes. This requires laser support to be compiled in.
The "analog out bits" refer to analogue outputs of the type found on Servo To
Go cards - Using "bits" instead of "lines" or "pins" is probably a bit
misleading.
