RE: EMC compatible computers

for the time being, I'm using the remotes strictly to home, monitor
and the like. at the moment opening a file isn't an issue. More like
a it'd be nice, but I'm not going to waste time on it.

Hi Erie

Use a common mount point on each computer - I have a directory /mount that
is
used by all the computers on my local network to mount via nfs the /mount
directory from the main server. Not sure how well this would work if any
Windows directories are mounted with samba..

Using a remote tkemc on a M$ box will cause problems due to the differences
in the path names are handled. Converting C:\ to /mount could be done with a
small hack in EMC.

Regards, Paul.
