It makes a difference what stepper control program you are using.  Your
choices are generally setppermod.o and freqmod.o

If you are trying to drive the original Bridgeport drivers, I think you 
have to
use freqmod.o with the phase drive setting turned on.  Bridgeport drivers
do not use step and direction.  That would only take 2 wires.  They take
4 signals that drive each of the 4 transistors on the driver board.  The
phase drive scheme does not generate the hi/lo power signal, so you need
another circuit to do that.

But, anyway, the following error is due to the simulation of a servo system.
Does it work better if you set it to a slower jog speed?  You can set that
with the < key, and watch the slider at lower left.  Try moving at a speed
of 1 IPM and see if that works better.  Watch the actual position - if it is
displaying commanded position, hit the -at- key to change the display.
P=1000 and all other PID and FFn parameters are usually 0 for freqmod.
