I visited Bert Eding in the Netherlands and saw a system that he had 
compiled to run under NT.  He had written the graphical interface for 
that OS and compiled the rest of EMC down to the output of the cubic 
splines.  These were buffered outboard for his Nyquist drive amps that 
ran the servos on a benchtop Emco mill.  Very nice setup.
