smdromod generates step and direction signals on the parallel port and 
reads encoder feedback through a DRO board available from Camtronics at 
 http://www.seanet.com/~dmauch/,  or build from schematics from 
http://www.timgoldstein.com/kulagadro/dro.html

I'm using frequency to voltage conversion and PWM to control a mosfet 
H-bridge driving a PMDC motor.
