Les posted some tuning stuff a while back. The reference is listed below:

I've had best luck with setting gain this way....set all the PID parameters
to zero and then increase P until you just get sustained oscillation. Use
60% of this P as your gain. Seems to work well.

Now go tune the rest of the parameters. I've done this in a very empirical
manner by logging a move and then plotting the difference between actual and
commanded position and adjusting D then FF1 then FF2 then (maybe) 'I' to
achieve minimum tracking error.
