Its been a long time since Ive had anything to say
to the list. I still dont have a machine (well I do its a hurco with a shot
control will be planing on making a EMC machine out of it for my friend who just
picked it up). Anyway
this same friend has an interesting spline he is
making, he had a machine shop make a master slide so he could manually make
these parts he needed done, now what he is wanting is for me to build a +1 and
angle axis to attatch to his existing nc machine, no big deal, problem is, it
will be 4th axis rotary, Im seeing lots of talk recently about the slow motion
of the axis. My emc machine took a massive dive last month, and I havent
taken the time to rebuild it, however I think that this problem may be related
to the code involved with the accual axis versus the setup, I could be
wrong, but because this is a huge interest to me, I had better get to
cracking. In the time ive had to work on building the controler units for
the steppers we have. Ive been using a win box to tinker with, and I
figure ill install emc over the next few days and see if I cant come up with
more questions to ask reguarding this.
Has anyone tried
converting axis A into a linear axis almost like an extra X and
seeing what sort of motion is produced that way? maybe a way to try going
about it for some testing. Im lame and slow. But I try to keep up with the list
and think of something decent to say.
