Re: LPT problem
Sending print output to the LPT port is not a prerequisite to using it for
EMC. My system works fine installed from the same BDI you are using, but
the port does not show up in /proc/ioports like serial ports or other
devices do. This is because the kernel is not compiled to use the LPT port
as a printer port. I would suspect that if the kernel were compiled to
recognize the LPT port as a printer port, EMC would fail because the
addresses would already be in use.
