I should have mentioned as Paul has, that I increased PERIOD by 4X for the
P-90.

Some info on performance which may be helpful.
I have been running EMC on a P-90 with 64MB of ram. I found it worked ok
with xemc but useless with tkemc.
I installed RH7.0 and upgraded the kernel and added rtlinux and emc from
the BDI CD. (Note to run tkemc you need to force install old versions of
the tk and tcl libraries from the BDI CD.) Am running stepping motors using
freqmod.
I wouldn't recommend a P-90 because this had performed no better than a 486
I was trying.
I am now going to try a P-200 which should be good based on the experience
with a P-90.
