Hi Matt
You shouldn't have any problems running a Cyrix processor with a BDI install.
Much of the early work I did on the CD was with one these chips and 128Mb
memory. Unfortunately it died a few months back (suspect a dodgy SIMM), and I
used the opportunity to upgrade.
Must have a look at getting it back to life sometime.
