RE[9]: emc really needs a copyleft cad/cam package



hello;

i missed this one when it first came in,
i figure it is better to answer it late
than never.

before i posted the original e-mail calling for discussion
concerning the new cad/cam project i did a brief survey of
25 cad/cam packages on the internet. what i found was that
in order to do cam correctly cad had to be there.

in a cam package there has to be some way to view
the object. that implies a view grid.
there has to be some way to edit the tool path.
that imples creating new objects.

you can have cad without cam.
i do not see how you can have cam without cad.
