If you are running xemc, then the way you describe is the way it is done
- I think. There is no file browser available though it will show the
default directory programs.
If you are running tkemc, then there is a file browser that pops up when
you ask to load a file. That also pops up using the default directory.
The default directory can be changed in the ini file that you are using.
I might be able to help you find and use the file browser for your
distribution if I knew which distribution you were using. Otherwise the
terminal command:
mv (filename to move) (location to move it to)
or
cp (filename to copy) (location to copy to)
should do the job of moving files into the correct location in linux or
between linux and a dos partition.
