This is interesting as I've just gone the other way! I found that with the
'default' install of Gnome and Enlightenment, I was getting a lot of errors
and odd bits of 'interference' on my screen. I don't get this with KDE.
The other thing which infuriates me about Gnome is that you always have to
click in such as the terminal window to activate it whereas KDE tends to
activate the window as soon as you move over it. On the whole I just think
that KDE seems a bit more 'polished' - I'll bet you haven't tried using one
of the themed desktops in Enlightenment yet ;o0
