An added note:
There is no way ( IMO ) that anyone will ever by experts on Linux/Unix. There
is just too many years behind this, there is almost nothing you can't do - it
seems, and you have more different languages than any other place. I friend
showed me some "awesome" scripts - wiht awk, sed, bash, and a lot of other
stuff, piped and redirected. Fred showed me a few helpfull tricks a long
time ago, - and... the point is - there is a lot of usefull and simple stuff
that could help everybody.
Using something like " Linux TIPS: ... " in the subject, have some filters
and collect simple but helpfull stuff, could be a very nice thing to include
in linuxcnc. You could even have such things as "RS274 TIPS" .. etc.
Maybe you don't like this, but I think it could be an added bonus for us all.
Sure there is a lot of stuff we can handle, - but I have always found that many
have smarter and simpler ways to do the same things.
