this topic was researched awhile ago and the conclusion was that usb did not
have the speed neccisary to control a machine (something about the refresh
rate or something)  the conclusion then was to use the par-port with the
pico equipment.  if you dont have a par-port on the machine, then using a
PCI par-port should work (ive read that par-ports are going to be fazed out
soon)---dave

The good news is that that you can use almost any used P3 system with
good results.  What is really needed is an open source hardware project
to make a servro controller card that uses USB 2.0.  any takers?
