In addition to Till's comments (egcs a.k.a. kgcc is found in compat-egcs 
package), using gcc-2.95 will break any code that is linked to libraries 
compiled with gcc-2.96. This may be one reason sim.run fails to run.

Ignore the .makedependerr, this is generated during the realtime build and 
should not cause any problems.

P.S. Is this RTAI-24.1.10 with or without the bug fixes made after the 
initial release ?
