Babar,

I was talking to STG engineers on another matter today and mentioned
the problem you were having. They confirm that with some motherboards
and some slots there indeed can be an internal noise problem with
the counter. Some motherboards also have a higher than standard
buss frequency which can also cause the problem.
They confirm that you should try a different ISA slot or
a different computer. They also said to check the PLD chip on the
card- that is the biggest square i.c. near the back connector.
Check to see if it has a paper sticker on it. If the slot or computer
change does not help you should call  or e-mail them and they will help
you to get it working.
