What I think it needs is either 

a) do it with the kinematics ...
b) expand the 'single axis' correction routines to use joint data from other 
axes.

I think b) probably is the Right Thing To Do.

I'll grab a CVS and make a start ... theres probably quite a bit of 
refactoring I could do too ... shrug .. I'll send in some patches and perhaps 
you can see if they are worthy of inclusion ..

oh .. and just grabbing a CVS of the documents .. why are all those _vti_cnf 
directories included in the distribution? thats not content ... shouldnt be 
in the CVS at all IMHO. That would reduce the repository by half in one go 
and make checkouts/updates somewhat faster ...
