ppt to STG

Paul,

  I've done many small changes to try and substitute the ppt for the stg.
They were in the bridgeportiomain.cc, extbridgeportio.c, and the make file.
I believe there were other small changes in other files as well.
Unfortunaltly I have not been able to see any positive results from doing
this.  Which files were you making changes to?
... and yes, I have noew downloaded the latest CVS files
