I was an electronics tech in the US Navy and my Dad was a EE. Not much
power electrical background but analog and digital circuits I'm comfortable
with. Have even made a few thru-hole circuit boards although it has been
awhile.
I am interested in hearing from anyone that already has a Rong-Fu --
especially the rectangular column RF-45.

Any comments on differences between rotary and static phase convertors?
Any rule-of-thumb or equations to predict power losses in the phase convertor?

I have no idea whether to look at stepper motors or servos or the various
pro-cons of each, controller requirements, etc. I've just started this effort.
