Thanx ray for your help, Ray. Now I am looking closer at tkio.tcl

I believe from reading the manual that this file can be modified to create a
plc(wrapper) for a machine.

Have done more testing and I think now that tkio can see 0x378 but it can
not see 0x278 because there is no code in tkio.tcl to change $PARPORT_IO
ADDRESS

Am I on the right track?

I also suspect that I can modify  "proc spindleControl" to facilitate the
following S-codes:

the "X"'s represent solenoid status of a set of nine hydrualic valves.

I suspect that I would have to replace "proc spindleIncrease" and "proc
spindleDecrease" with a set of something like "proc spindle_is_S11" etc etc


Can anyone tell me if I am on the right track here?

Finally, if someone was clever enough to make a menu-driven tkio-wrapper
building program, wouldn't that be BUTE!?.

These are just newbie thoughts by the kero heater up the back shed ........
