Hi List,
I am still stucked with servo amplifiers ,I took out
one Motor and Amplifier (z-axis) from the machine and
tried to run that separately. First , I was not able
to do so but after trying Jon Elson’s Tip of swapping
the Tacho or Motor leads I got my amplifier running
i.e applying +/-10 volts it increase or decrease the
speed of motor. Now the problem is with limit switches
input and Enable/Disable input of amplifier, Machine
manual says that +OT and –OT ( + and – limits)to be
connect at pin 6 and 7 of 12 pin connector on
amplifier but it is showing a bit strange behavior i.e
in clockwise direction motor stops when it gets +5 v
at +OT and in anticlockwise direction it stops when it
receive –5 v at -OT ( I came to know this after
experiments). About Enable/Disable input machine
manual doesn’t say anything but I have found that pin
5 of 12 pin connector on amplifier is going to servo
control board but I don’t know exactly what is this
input, assuming this may be enable/disable input I
applied 0,+ and – 5 v but it did not have any effect
on running motor.I have checked
http://www.cmcsystems.com/amp_westamp.html but they
have the info related to tuning of servos which will
be the next step. At the moment I desperately need
some info about the pinouts of my amplifier(Westamp’s
servo Model 6511 ,part# 415-5001-006).
Thanks and regards
Babar
