Must have missed your earlier posts on the problems you're having...

After spending half an hour or so with Les Watts, a small problem was 
discovered with the homing pulse and the STG II card (EMC does not see the 
encoder index pulse). Just two lines of code in the stg sources fixed it 
along with a minor change to generic.run to allow the use of newstgmod.
These modifications have been committed to Sourceforge, but I can send you a 
patch off list if you have trouble accessing the repository.

Les Has some excellent schematics for wiring up the switches to an STG card 
and his ini file does work.
