cannot connect...?

Hallo!
Ive got a question:
I installed the newest EMC with JAVA, everything installed fine. but when I
start emcGui.sim, I get the messages, that localhost cannot be connected at
port 5005 or something like that. Strange: I can make a successful ping to
localhost. emcsvr also seems to start succesfully. What may I have done
wrong?
