i dont think we can rule out windows as the culprit, seeing microsoft's
history, i too have seen problems with windows' downloads that linux handed
well ON the same computer ON the same connection.... but im veering
dangerously close to OS war talk...sorry.....----Dave L.

There is nothing Windows does to screw up downloaded files, it is a
result of the person doing the download not knowing what they are doing.

I am going to try another cd tonight. Is there any way I can pull and

off the cd and test it. The only computers I have that have a burners

windows using the Adaptec easy CD creator software. And unless I bring

linux computer in to work, it does not have direct access to the web.
