I believe I have RTLinux 3.1 ion my computer at home - What EMC version
should I be messing with ?
I Just noticed that there is a rtl3.0 on the end of the name.
I tried putting emc-1.1-17.rtl?.?.tgz annd the src.tgz on my slack install
but there seem to be some files missing, or I didn't untar them from the
correct directory - everything I read gave the location to untar as
/usr/local and it looked like it worked but I don't think everything came
out in the right place. I tried to run the install script and bash didn't
like it. I installed tcsh and then I tried to follow the instructions I had
but I was unable do a compile.
I have had good succes installing slackware (X and the extra utilities and
such that I wanted) and then I got RTLinux to compile (I think ...) and now
I am stuck making sure I have the correct EMC files.
I would prefer using .tgz files as I have had good success when I have the
proper instructions (and I do read them) but RPM's have not been so useful.
Thanks - Pete
