smdromod errors

I am trying to use the smdromod.o module
and it isn't working.

When I go to the console I see this:

can't install it

I have a BDI install on an AMD K6-2 550mhz

Is there a setting I need to set somewhere?
Is this a problem with the program code?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
