I have just checked into CVS a version that should support RTAI
(Real-time Application Interface) as an alternative to RTLinux.
I built with kernel 2.4.3, rtai 24.1.4, gcc 2.95.2 and libc 2.1.3.
Other versions may very well work, but I haven't tried any.
to build
cd rcslib/src
make PLAT=linux_rtai
make PLAT=rtai
cd ../..
cd emc/src
make PLAT=linux_rtai
make PLAT=rtai
linux_rtai is for non-realtime stuff that needs to connect with rtai
code. just "rtai" is for the realtime code for the rtai environment.
I also increased the stack size which seemed to solve the problem that
caused frequent reboots under RTAI and I suspect was causing occasional
reboots under RTLinux.
