The BDI uses rtlinux-3.0 - Sources are also included for the 2.4.2 kernel if
you are feeling adventurous. The EMC packages were all built around a CVS
download from mid March, so should be ready to run a hexapod.
If not, compiling a new kernel (all the sources are prepatched) along with EMC
is fairly painless. All the RPMs that were compiled and built for the BDI used
the same tools that are on the CD. One thing to whatch for though - The two def
files (linux_2_2_18.def and rtlinux_3_0.def) in /usr/local/rcslib/etc have been
modified slightly. Make backups of these before updating the EMC sources.
