The machine I am interfacing is not one used for machining. It is a piece
of equipment we have built up in the lab to perform some functions. I need
the step/dir functions and use Mr.Bill's dc motor driver, it seems to work
well (once I got emc set up right).
I think I will build a cnc router to play with at home though and run it
with EMC.

Glad you got it going. Your description had me stumped. Do you have a
machine that you plan to run with the EMC?
