Am I the only one out there trying this combination?
Debian potato/unstable mix(laptop needs xfree863.3.6, its an old thing)
rtl kernel source from www.fsmlabs.com
rtl stuff(im still new to this) from www.fsmlabs.com
emc and rcslib from sourcforge
Im very close to making it build, rcslib seems to have compiled without
errors, just a few warnings, emc gets explosive with errors and
mismatches, mainly with port and version errors, im still learning bits
and chunks of sh so I may not have corrected everything necessary to
keep it clean, short error examples
in file included form stg.c:122:
/usr/include/asm/io.h/:83: redefinition of 'inb'
/usr/include/sys/io.h/:45: 'inb' previously defined here
...
...
same errors for or from stg2.c line 115
also missdirections or links to the rtlinux-3.0 header files for
emcmot.c, emcstepmot.c and thats about it,
im still working on fixing it, between frustrating moments of using the
wrong keyboard and missing personal documentaion tracking trail for
reproduction.
main thing is really, am I crazy for trying this?
thank you
Phil Smith
gezr-at-masternode.net is also a valid address for me, or point your irc
client at irc.rubiks.net and find me in #emc or #linux for Real Time
(heh) work. heh, thats not a bad idea by the way, maybe you guys
already
use an irc netowork? ours is small network, 40 users i think is our max
so far, so its fast friendly and unfriendly user free.
