Steve, I am excited about the emc and I appreciate your response.  With
the emc I would still need a servo motion board such as the servo-to-go
board which brings the price closer to the Mektronix.  Also if I use a
PLC for the tool changer and miscellaneous interface control, I can save
about $400.00 on the Mektronix control.  I believe I would use the same
PLC with the emc.  What I don't know is how powerful the emc is compared
to the Mektronix for all of the miscellaneous functions necessary in a
clean retrofit.  It is obvious that you are familiar with the Mektronix
control.  If you could give me some additional insight, I would
appreciate it.  Also would you use the servo-to-go board for the motion
board.
