Up til now I was using the older EMC traject-planner (march 8, 1999)
in my software, recently I have changed to the current one.
I have a tool which shows me the generated position,
acceleration/velocity/jerk profile.
When I was checking the behaviour of blending I saw that
there are some changes e.g.:
I do a move first in the X direction, then a move in the Y direction,
with the old path planner the moves are blended at start
of decelleration of the first move. With the new trajectory generator,
there is no blending at all in this case.
It seems that the current path planner only blends when both the x and y
axes keep
moving.
Does anybody know more about these changes?
Bert

Subject: winnt emcdemo.exe
Hello All.
I found this list via goggle. It looked interesting.
I downloaded ftp://ftp.isd.mel.nist.gov/pub/emc/emcsoft/winnt/emcdemo.exe
Tried to install in win98 following instructions in the README.
The install.bat in C:\EMC doesn't work - I already had JRE1.2 installed
(9.3 MB of 12.8 in download) sleep aint a valid command and no *.lnk files
are present. But C:\EMC\plat\win32msc\emcstart.bat does seem to function.
Can visual studio 5.0 compile this? And I see the java is using older
event handling methods.
So I guess the windows demo is functioning. Now on to LinuxCnc and
installing RtLinux on an extra box. Maybe tomorrow.
Good day. --krb
