A little progress, then trouble.  I ran into the bit about the
"undefined reference to '__inbc' as is mentioned in the
stg.c file, so I tried to implement the same conditional
sections for the different methods of linking the i/o
routines, and now I'm getting MULTIPLE definitions
of the same things!  I'm guessing that the #ifdef for
either LINUX or RTLINUX is not working right, but
I haven't pinned it down yet.  So, that was why I
wasn't getting any xxxio or xxxtask executables was
the link stage was dying.
