Re: Single axis homebuilt EMC

Hi All,

Just managed to get my single axis working. It
doesn't really do much, as it has no limit or home
switches yet (and it's not connected to a machine).
It is however pretty simple, and could be built with a
minimum of parts and $$$.

As Jon has pointed out, the amplifier would not be
suitable for a real machine (it's just a simple
voltage amplifier, ie. Vout = gain * Vin). I think
however that for simple machines requiring say 3 axes,
that the same quadrature counter circuit could be used
(times 3 of course). It's very similar to the Servo
To Go board, but without on board timers or
interrupts.

Perhaps if others were interested, the design could
evolve into something actually worth using?

By the Way Jon, thanks for explaination of the
relative cordinates.

If I were to draw up a schematic with dispatcher
functions, where could I post this?

Thanks again,
Garrett
