error starting emcbin
I am having trouble getting the latest emcbin release running and need some
help. Here is a description of my setup, with the error message output to
follow:
Computer: compaq with AMD K6-400 128 megs of ram
OS: Mandrake 7.0 with RTlinux2.2 which seems to be running fine (it does
the Frank Zappa test ok)
Emc release: Latest emcbin for 2.2.14
path: loaded emcbin*.gz into /usr/local/nist and untarred it and got the
usual emc directory under it.
I copied generic.run as emc.run and did a chmod 755 emc.run
Altered generic.ini as such:
changed memory to 00x7H to reflect 128 megs of ram minus the 1
meg needed for RTlinux
commented out PERIOD ";PERIOD" , since it's using steppermod.o
Saved generic.ini as emc.ini and then did a chmod 755 emc.ini (probably
didn't need to since it's an ini file)
after trying to run emc "./emc.run" I got this message:
[root-at-localhost emc]# ./emc.run

......so, where do I find emc.nml for this binary release. Or what else did
I do wrong?
Thanks,
Dan
