Jon,

You DID tell me to verify that the encoder signal was correct, and I went 
back and verified that the encoder was hooked up to the STG board correctly 
(three times).  The third time I even tested the encoder wires, which is how 
I determined that they were backwards, but it never occured to me (all three 
times) that I would have to make it (-) in the .ini file.  Sorry for my 
stupidity :)

Is there any chance that you could email me the Dec version that you have?  
Right now I'm running the 2.2.13/2_0_36 version of RTL, but if that won't 
work, I have an old RH5.2 version, too.  Since I'm on AOL you might have to 
send it in a couple of different files (if you still have the .aa* files, 
that should work).  Or you could send the whole thing, but I don't think AOL 
will accept anything bigger than a 1meg file.  Thanks.
