I set the period - lower- .00001 and crashed the whole thing.   Earlier,
when I set it to .000004 (added one more zero) I got some input/output
errors- didn't copy them because of the crash.  Very strange.  
.00004 gives me one "emcsh.cc 321..." error
.00002 gives me about a dozen of them
.000004 gives input/output errors on minimill.task (I think)
.00001 crashes X

I would like to get back to Tkemc, because it's easy to modify, but might
have to stick to Xemc for  awhile.
