  John did all the hard work I just helped with some software.
  The card does have some provision for D/A I think.

True but we went one small step at a time.
If there is enough interest ( and some support ) we can produce a
combined
PCI - Daughter Card in a very short time. The PCI chip from PLXTech is
quite reasonable.
I have John's paper in PDF form I'll post it on this site if you want or
