I'm afraid I won't be much help to you directly, but Fred Proctor at NIST
could probably tell you in a few minutes what's wrong. All the folks I know
of running the EMC are using Red Hat 5.2 and RTLinux 0.9J. Ordinarily I'm
able to download, compile, and run with no changes to anything. You might try
getting the latest version of the EMC from the FTP site as I remember that
there was a distribution a while back that wouldn't build correctly, but I
don't remember which one it was and I think it only affected the Servo To Go
card support. Fred will be back on Monday (I think), and in the mean time
you're welcome to call me if you think talking to someone who has used the
software would help.
