Dan,
One simple way is to use
xwd > myfile.xwd
It changes the cursor to crosshairs and will beep after a mouse press
to complete it's capture in xwd format.
To verify what you captured, use "xv" or "xwud -in myfile.xwd"
(where "myfile" is any name you choose)
The xwd can be converted to other formats using "xv"

Subject: screenshots?
Here's a simple question that I need some help on:
How do you make a screen shot of the TkEmc GUI in linux? I want to put one
on the dropbox.
Thanks,
Dan
