Exactly my concern.
Considering - my suggestion would be to _not_ position BDI as a secure
system. That waay leads to an ongoing patch/upgrade support work.
Run good services, and only required services by all means - but put
the onus elsewhere for frontline web defense.
If BDI is the only computer, when it will probably dual-boot a
supported software system, be it windows or linux. So the key is to
talk to that part of the box to allow communications. iF XP is the
'other' part support for a small usb drive, a floppy, or a non-ntfs
partition could work.
If multiple computers, then getting data to it is the key. probably a
samba or nfs shared file system. And the ability to read html / pdf / tex
documentation would suffice in BDI.
