There was a post in one of those groups run for a commercial ripoff of the 
EMC that declared it to be dead, tod, gone, obsolete, beyond recovery, 
nothing but ashes.  

This post by John K, that even the venerable emc-at-nist.gov is is sliding into 
the abyss, will no doubt be taken as final proof, of the truth of "hot air's" 
declaration.

I would not recommend that you side with "hot air."  I've seen a bit of the 
outline of the phoenix on EMC Monday and it is awesome.  So join the new 
list.  </hype>
