Spindle speed path through the software

Hello, all,

I am trying to get the spindle speed to come through to an extra DAC
channel on my PPMC board set.  I see that this has been put into
.../src/emctask/minimilltaskintf.cc, where the DAC voltage is
computed as 1 V/1000 RPM by a hardwired constant in that module,
and it is sent out to the DAC channel specified in the .ini file
symbol SPINDLE_ON_INDEX.  I hacked my DAC routine to
put out a minimum of 4 DAC channels, and had the SPINDLE_ON_INDEX
set to 3 in the .ini file.  It is still not producing the voltage on 
that dac
channel.

Has anyone poked around in this part of EMC and have some suggestions
on where to look.  (I had been using the Bridgeporttaskintf.cc routine,
so that may have something to do with the problem.  I'll have to see what
problems are caused by switching from thet to the minimilltaskintf
version.)
