BDI candidate...

Hi Paul,  

Regarding the next candidate distro for BDI...

I was wondering if you have looked at Arch Linux. http://archlinux.org
This is an awsome distro with great package management.
I've been playing around with it for the past few days on my old laptop.
It has a "simpler than Slackware" setup.   I think it's package management
would really ease EMC installation.   I was able to create a kernel package 
with the pre-emptive patch very easily.   I'm going to see if I can create a 
realtime kernel package for it.

The only problem is that it is an optimixed linux for Pentium II (i686) or 
better.  I'm not sure how much that would impact the installed base of EMC 
machines.
