Total number of machines using the EMC?

Anyone have any idea how to figure out how many machines in the world are 
controlled by the EMC? I know there's the users map, but what I'd like to 
know is the number of individual machines, and if possible, the year they 
were built and where they are in the world.

The question of annual "sales" of EMC controlled machines came up on the 
Geckodrive list at Yahoogroups, and I'm trying to give a better answer than 
"I dunno." ;)
