In part?  What part is NOT fixed by it?  You get 300,000 steps/second, 
extremely smooth
step pulse trains, including the accel./decel. part.  The only thing is, 
hardware doesn't
come free.  But, you get encoder counters, digital input and output, and 
estop all bundled
with it, and all working off one parallel port.
